ANNUAL EMERGING HIGH SCHOOL TALENT EXHIBITION

NEW TALENT 24 is a juried visual art competition organized by the Visual Arts department of Kilgore College. The Visual Arts faculty of Kilgore College serve as its jurors. The works selected for exhibition are created by area high school students emerging onto the college stage of higher art education. The exhibition’s purpose is to introduce these aspiring artists to the Visual Arts department’s long tradition of holding professional, high-quality exhibitions for the student body, for demonstrating the variety of talent arising from area high schools, and the importance of creating and displaying professional work. Exhibiting is an integral part of learning at Kilgore College.
NEW TALENT 24 is an extension of Kilgore College’s Visual Arts Day which offers potential students an opportunity to learn more about the Visual Arts department at Kilgore College and connect directly with its art faculty, staff, and current students.
A reception and awards ceremony will be held at 10am, Friday, March 22nd, in the Van Cliburn Auditorium.
Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday. Admission is free.
